The IB diploma programme is much more than a collection of courses. It helps with learner development in many aspects of their growth and includes the commitment that the IB diploma is more than academic work.
The CAS (Creativity, Action and Service) programme is a central requirement to the successful diploma and expects learners to remain involved in those three areas of school and community life.
"What is CAS?"

describes the expected learning outcomes, and responsibilities for CAS.IB diploma candidates should read this thoroughly and then make a plan of how each expects to meet the CAS requirements between September 1, 2010 and March 30, 2012. This plan should be summarized on

and submitted to Mrs. Hicks by email (jhicks@mygns.ca) by
September 27.
The the student should make an appointment to meet with Mrs. Hicks by October 15 to discuss that plan and how the student will meet each of the CAS learning outcomes.
This log sheet

is a Word document, designed to help you keep track of your CAS work.
As always, if you have any questions. let's talk.
